I stumbled across this image from 20 Beautiful Examples Of Creative Text Used In Advertising. As I was scrolling down I saw this image and wanted to investigate it further. I think it is an ad for Les Jardins de Colette, a botanical garden in Varetz France. They also have Le labyrinthe de Bel Gazou which is shaped like a butterfly. It looks very interesting! You can check out their website Les Jardins de Colette

In this case there is a lack of letter spacing. Just plain bad logo design.

Poor image choice. Maybe an X-Rated site, but not for an "Institute" of higher learning.
This is why designers should get paid for their work. Not just anyone can make a logo and here is the proof! More bad logos here You have to see it to believe it.

This coming soon sign is real and it stands in my neighborhood. I can’t help but question why the word “SUNDAE” is treated in a type face that is more suiting for “THE THRILLER” than a new ice cream shack. If it is a horrifying sundae shack than I’m asuming that scary clowns will serve you ice cream dipped in “BLOOD”. Is that what they were going for? I guess we will have to wait and see.

For a while now I have been struggling over the idea of ethical consumption of fish and seafood. Don’t get me wrong I LOVE FISH & SEAFOOD but if it’s at the expense of depleting our oceans and fresh water ecosystems ( and most cases it is) than I try my hardest not to participate. I have heard of some pocket guides to help people buy more sustainably so I am going to be more proactive and print one that I found on Monterey Bay Aquarium. Click Here and you can Download a pocket guide that is located in your area. Nicely designed information. Clean and simple. Hopefully we can all do our part to buy more responsibly. BON APPETIT!

This great graphic comes from Von Glitschka. He posted this on his blog a while back and I though it would be appropriate to post it today.

Bruce Lee Roy is a bearded dragon that my boyfriend and I acquired. When we brought him into our home and put his tank down in the living room I immediately wanted to create a really cool background for the outside of it. I wanted something that I wouldn’t get tired of too easily. A year ago My boyfriend and I went hiking in the Grand Canyon and I took a lot of panoramic shots. So a year later I just played with them in photoshop and made this fun unrealistic background. At the time I had access to a large color printer so I printed it out and now it’s a part of Bruce’s home. It was a fun project and Bruce seems to enjoy it.
