I was not able to carve my pumpkin for Halloween so instead I carved it for Thanksgiving. Why Not. I carved a cornucopia design into the pumpkin and arranged flowers inside. I used a assortment of mini carnations, mums. Gerber daises, eucalyptus, and alstroemeria This was my first time doing this and I learned a lot from this little project. This is something I will be visiting again in the future. If you would like to see more of the process you can go to my flick page
Inventive CD packaging for Zinkplaat a South African Band. The front and back are printed with a scratch-off ink layer, and the packaging comes with a guitar pick for scratching off the ink.
The design is by fanakalo
If your interested in the band you can hear their music here

I stumbled across this image from 20 Beautiful Examples Of Creative Text Used In Advertising. As I was scrolling down I saw this image and wanted to investigate it further. I think it is an ad for Les Jardins de Colette, a botanical garden in Varetz France. They also have Le labyrinthe de Bel Gazou which is shaped like a butterfly. It looks very interesting! You can check out their website Les Jardins de Colette
For this Halloween I was inspired to make a bunny ear head band that was posted on the free people blog but originally came from monoxious. I was mulling over the idea and when I went to Goodwill I found a Black spandex crew neck shirt that zigzagged down the back. It was crazy and right then and there I decided to be a dead bunny rabbit. I made the ears and I also made a choker collar, and lace rabbit paws. FYI all these tutorials are popping up because of Maison Michel’s designs. On a sad note I never did carve my pumpkin for Halloween):
This is Bruce our pet Bearded Dragon. About two weeks ago she started dragging her back legs so I took her to the local reptile zoo Regal Reptiles. If you have any questions you can call them or stop by. They were nice and helpful. They told me that Bruce was suffering from MBD or Metabolic Bone Disease. She was not receiving enough calcium so the body started extracting it from the bones. Sounds kind of terrible, but there is good news. The process can be reversed if she starts receiving the calcium that she needs. I just wanted to put this photo up of her when she would hang out on the couch and try to jump off and explore. Hope that her lively spirit comes back soon. Her body needs time to heal so we won’t know if we are out of the clear for a couple of months. If anyone has any happy stories about MBD please feel free to share them. Thanks
My favorite magazine body & soul Whole living and my favorite yogurt Stonyfield Farms created the going greener guide book that you can read online. It’s nicely designed and of course it’s full of helpful info on living green. Check it out.
I found two end tables up in my attic that were broken and abandoned way before I moved into my apartment (almost two years ago now). The tables were covered with dirt, dust and bird droppings. Geoff and I fixed then and after some perseverance they are completed and Finally functional. For the paint I used a black satin and a vanilla pudding yellow. The paints were discount Oops paints that you can find at home depot. (returned paints). Great option when your trying to save money!! Anyway the bedroom is still in the works. Can’t wait to find the wrought iron bed frame of my dreams to tie in the whole theme of the bedroom! To be continued…
This was my 4th year participating in the Providence street painting festival and this time I did an 8 x 8 foot composition. My theme was the Rhode Island Red and I was kinda surprised by how fast it all came together. I would have wanted to push the design more but it was a windy day and all the chalk dust would blow away so I decided to just let it be. Over all I was content with the outcome. You can see more of my street painting pics here on my flick
