Flaming Lips “Borderline” video

Thursday, July 9th, 2009

Very excited to see The Flaming Lips perform in Boston. FYI no ticket fees when you order through live nation on Wednesdays.

Update: The concert was great and we had lots of fun. If there was one thing I could change it would be to had better seats. The whole time we were at the very back of the concert. There were balloons, confetti, glitter, etc but none of it was able to reach us. Get seats as close to the stage as you can and you will not regret it.

This is what I made for my boyfriend’s birthday. He loves owls so I decided to make him a little owl pillow. I used a unique denim fabric that I rescued before it was tossed into the dumpster. Score! It had tones of paint splatters on it and I thought they could give the illusion of the owl’s feathers. Please keep in mind that this was my first real sewing project. I think I will be making more of these guys in different sizes in the future. He is just so darn cute and looks great as an accent pillow on the bed!! You can see more pics of the process here

I really enjoy being able to see the artistic process and end up appreciating it more because you see that it’s done by hand. These days you never know. Anybody can use a program. You can see more of Two Twelve’s work here
